About the job

This is a great opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to join our energetic, dynamic Wellbeing and People team . Working closely within HR colleagues , you will take ownership of the wellbeing and colleague engagement aspects of DSG’s People function.

We believe in creating great work for all 190 of our colleagues. At DSG, Wellbeing is about far more than having an onsite gym or giving our colleagues a nutritious breakfast to start the day, or even first-class private medical insurance (although we do all this and more). Just as important is showing our colleagues that they are valued, giving them the opportunity to thrive, and supporting them through life’s challenges.

This role will see you develop our existing wellbeing provision, monitoring engagement and colleague satisfaction, and helping to drive our people-centred culture. You will be involved in the management and procurement of wellbeing services and analysing our future needs. Whilst the primary focus of this role is Wellbeing and Engagement, we are looking for a qualified HR professional who can provide first line support and coaching to our HR Administrator.

You will provide coaching and support to the DSG workforce, and ensure that they feel listened to and cared for. As the first point of contact for colleagues with wellbeing needs, you will signpost to professional services, whilst providing immediate support where appropriate.

About DSG

DSG Group is a collective of forward-thinking brands and investments, which specialises in UK auto finance and focuses on compliant technology-driven delivery. During our 31 years in the industry, we have remained at the forefront of technological innovation, thanks to the ongoing development of our systems and software. You will be joining DSG Group at an incredibly exciting time as we return to a brand-new office building to add to the current two at our Cheadle campus. We are a fintech company that sees people as its greatest asset and our continuing growth finds us keen to take the next step in colleague development. We recently announced the DSG Living Wage. From July 2021, all colleagues over the age of 18, who are not on an apprenticeship, will receive an annual salary of at least £22,425 (based on a 37.5 hour week)

Working here

Ask the DSG Family what they love best about working here (and we do!) and there is one response that comes up every time: The People. Our relaxed, professional working environment is based on respect and inclusivity. We make a habit of promoting from within -as seen from the number of senior managers who joined as apprentices.

You can read more about the DSG Culture here https://issuu.com/dsggroup/docs/company_culture_booklet_2021_pdf

Our full-spectrum wellbeing programme doesn’t just provide support in times of need (like our mental health champions, and 24/7 access to GPs and counsellors), it extends into coaching, job-crafting and encouraging our people to be the best version of themselves. Our bright and spacious new campus has a range of exercise equipment and all our people have access to lifestyle coaching from a qualified PT.

We actively seek business improvement ideas from our colleagues and reward them when they bear fruit. Alongside our lavish annual awards night, we have a monthly peer recognition programme for colleagues who display our core behaviours: Integrity, Growth, Absolute Excellence and Collaboration.

Colleagues are regularly invited to host corporate guests in our executive box at the AO Arena where (Covid allowing) there is a fantastic line-up for 2022.

If being a good corporate citizen is important to you, we donated £21k to charity last year and have committed to jointly raising £22k in 2022. Through our sustainability partner, Mossy Earth, we are contributing to rewilding and reforestation projects in the UK and abroad. Closer to home, our plastic bottle ban, commitment to recycling and electric car charging points help make our world a better place.
